    Simon Mason has just been gawked at, berated by a grieving mother, and banished from the funeral of his recently murdered boyfriend, Damen. He is wracked with feeling of survivor’s guilt and wishes nothing more than to curl up and die, hoping for that fabled second of “life flash” so he can see Damen one last time. With the help of his therapist, Stefni Baker, and a few close friends, Simon is able to find the one thing within himself and those around him worth living for: love.

    What if Jesus was never meant to be our Savior, but a warning? What if, 2000 years later, God fathered a daughter?

    The world is changed: the realm of purgatory is cataclysmically unbalanced; the race of man is in mortal peril; a Demon is gaining unthinkable power; a war of biblical proportions is brewing; and God Himself is angry beyond reason. Thrust into this unbalanced world is Bethanine. She is plagued by confusing dreams of past lives and forced to steal in order to survive, all the while helping a vigilante group known as The Resistance to rid the world of the overwhelming amount of criminals the police no longer have time to control. Bethanine is unknowingly faced with the prospect of returning lost souls to their rightful place in purgatory, the destiny of saving the world from annihilation is set before her, and is all the while trying to survive amidst unrelenting forces of greed and evil. Along as her guide is the Archangel Gabriel, the most beautiful man you have ever seen, and the cleverest of all Angels. When the Gates of Hell are opened, they will together fight the ultimate battle: a battle between Heaven and Hell, one that will determine the fate of the world and the lives of everyone in it.
